Reaching Kuala Lumpur

KLIA or KL International Airport is widely considered the gateway to the East and airline services from over 40 different countries have regular flights touching down here. From KLIA, there are various options available to reach the city centre which is about 55 kms away. A popular choice is the KLIA express trains that connect the airport to the KL City Air Terminal at KL Sentral. This leaves the International Airport Terminal every 15 minutes from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. This hassle-free service takes about 30 minutes. From KL Sentral there is a choice of taxi service, train or monorail to complete the journey.

The KL Airport shuttle service is another option to get to the city. This however, takes longer but will reach passengers to their final destination in one go. Bus services are also available from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight. Tickets for this need to be purchased from the Airport Coach Counter near the Baggage Claim area. And then of course, there's the taxi service including limousines. Pre-paid services are available near the passenger exit at the international arrival gate and outside the domestic arrival gate.
